Daniel Barr is a British author based in the historical and cultural city of Liverpool. After moving to Leeds during university and achieving a Bachelor's degree in English Literature, Daniel returned back to his home city to focus on writing both novels and plays that represent his societal opinions and experiences as a Northerner living in the UK. 

Daniel is inspired by his home city, but also takes great pleasure in exploring beautifully dangerous fictional worlds that have been brought to life by incredible artists, such as George R.R. Martin's ‘A Game of Thrones’, which his debut novel ‘The Bastard of Saddle Isle’ draws inspiration from.
