I have had a varied life and career, for the most part not linked to writing. I began writing a few years before I retired. Whilst investigating my family tree I became intrigued with the life of one of my great uncles who was born in the USA. Later, with the family, he returned to the UK, and worked in the coal mines of Gloucestershire and South Wales, before serving in the Somerset Light Infantry in WW1, winning the Military Medal. Based on his life I wrote, 'Silas Daniel Dyer'.
Calling upon my work experiences (including as an imagery analyst in the RAF, a Finance Manager for businesses and charities, and an owner of my own hospitality businesses in the UK and Australia, together with my imagination and love for mystery, science, and fantasy, I have written a range of books in different genres: Fantasy, Crime, Science Fiction, Historical Biography, and Short Stories.
